Sometimes the simplest, easy outreach can make things happen.
Recently there was a change announced for the CFO in one of my accounts. The person they appointed is internal. I have been reaching out to this person a few times with no response, but a ton of read e-mails.
When the news broke, I sent a note with the subject line : Congrats and the body of the e-mail was simple : Congrats on your recent appointment and look forward to working with you.
I received a Thank You e-mail which prompted an exchanged and they an action to have her team meet with me (in the process of scheduling).
Moral of the story…
Don’t over think or get too fancy
Pay attention to what may be news worthy to reach out (ie Birthday, anniversary, promotion, etc)
when you ask for something bring facts, because they will validate with their team if they do not know it themselves.
